Pink Confetti Kidz Adorable Custom Onesie Giveaway

8:40 PM Posted by Kimberly@PrettyPinkMomma

I have to admit, one of my favorite things about babies is dressing them up. I just love finding something cute and one of a kind to dress Emilio in. The entire first year for most babies, which sadly for Emilio is almost over, is spent primarily in onesies. I love the adorable tee shirts and polos but they just simply aren't as practical as onesies are. I hate that shirts creep up exposing their little tummy and diaper, especially when its cold outside. Onesies snap at the bottom and stay where they are supposed to. If you feel the same as I do than you will simply love Pink Confetti Kidz, another fantastic Etsy find, that specializes in creating unique and beautiful onesies from newborn to 24 months.

Pink Confetti Kidz has some of the most beautifully appliqued onesies for little girls that I have ever seen! I think one of the reasons that I long for a little girl is to dress up their cute little hiney. I just adore those cute little bloomers! Pink Confetti Kidz creates what they call ruffled bums for onesies in cooridinating fabric to the applique that is on the front. This unique design is not only adorable but a practical solution that will make mom feel like her little lovely is all dolled up without the baby feeling all cumbersome in multiple layers. Each applique is created using designer fabrics that just ooze trendy style. The appliques are heat sealed and stitched on top for a secure hold. These super cute onesies are available for $18 each. Below are a couple of my favorites.

If for some reason the ruffled bums aren't your thing Pink Confetti Kidz has onesies without it too that are equally as adorable. Here are is one of my favorites without the ruffled bum.

This onesie in particular just so happens to have a matching bloomer that you can purchase separately for only $12. Check this sweet little bloomer out, it even has a single ruffle on the bum.

In addition to these cute onesies you can also adorn your little lovely's hair with a crocheted flower hair clip to match! The crocheted flower clippies are made using a soft cotton yarn and range from $3 to $5 in price depending on size and style. Below is a couple of examples of my top picks.

Go visit Pink Confetti Kidz to see other appliqued onesies and clothes that they have in stock. While your there don't forget to check out the stylish accessories that are made to match.

Pink Confetti Kidz is offering one lucky Pretty Pink Momma reader any onesie of their choice!

How to Enter: Visit Pink Confetti Kidz and comment back on this post which onesie you want sent to you and in what size if you are chosen as the winner. This must be done before any extra entries will count. This giveaway is open to US only.

Not Me Monday

12:00 AM Posted by Kimberly@PrettyPinkMomma

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

I was so not happy that I was able to pick up a brand new flat panel Dell Monitor for a steal of $20! They were practically giving them away at Best Buy for $65 and I had $45 in rewards dollars. Score! Now I can totally get rid of the archaic, gigantic monitor for the desktop. What a reflief!

I went garage saling this on Saturday with my mother-in-law. She loves to pick up all kinds of stuff from trash to treasures. I was walking behind her after we had hit a couple of sales and noticed something a little odd. I thought she was wearing some kind of funky belt that had a sash in the back but upon closer look I realized that she had a long string of toilet paper coming out of the back of her pants! Like 4 or 5 squares long! I was so not embarrassed about my predicament. I had to create an oh so awkward moment and tell her about it. For a quick minute I almost decided against it but thought it would be far more embarrassing for her to walk around all morning with it hanging across her toush and finding way later and wondering why I hadn't said anything. After our awkward moment had passed, I most cetainly did not just carry on with casual conversation to act as if nothing embarrassing at all had just happened. Nope not me!

Last night I had a revelation. Never try to stab an avocado pit with a sharp knife. Ever. I was being lazy and decided that I didn't want to dirty a spoon by scooping the bugger out and decided just to stab it. Big mistake! The knife slipped off of the pit, went right throught the avocado and into the palm of my hand. After realizing that I stabbed myself I quickly assessed after the outpouring of blood that a bandaid would not suffice. I drove myself to the ER and had three stitches put in my hand. My hand! As a mom a hand injury is the worst! Do you know how many times a day that I wash my hands between myself and three kids? About a million. I did not really enjoy talking with the man nurse, Chris. He was not hilarious at all. Minutes before I left for home I had to check out with my instructions to watch for infection. He administered a pop quiz and asked me if I knew what signs of infection would be. I said red around the wound and it would be pussy - which gets weird because he very seriously asked me how to spell the word. And then I caught on and lauged so hard I almost peed myself! He said sometimes he has a hard time in his line of work with reading that word in the instructions of his colleaugues. I would never crack up at this statement, nope not me! I was so not thankful that Chris the male nurse was there to brighten the mood.

Aloha Friday - Michael Jackson Tribute

12:17 AM Posted by Kimberly@PrettyPinkMomma

Aloha Fridays are brought to you by Kailani from An Island Life. Over there in Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So Kailani thought that on Fridays she would take it easy on posting, too. So, for Aloha Friday, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Answer my question and put one of your own up on your blog. Link up and check out other blogs that participate at An Island Life.

In memory of Michael Jackson I wanted to post my all time favorite song and video of his. He did have some really awesome music videos. I think that every single person can think of at least one Michael Jackson song that they loved even if they didn't like all of his music. Do You Remember the Time is definitely my fave hands down.

My question is, what is your all time favorite song or music video done by Michael Jackson?

Five Thing Friday

12:10 AM Posted by Kimberly@PrettyPinkMomma

Pretty Pink Momma

Its time for Five Thing Friday! This is my opportunity to share some of the bits and peices about me or anything going on in my crazy life so you can get to know me a little bit better. I would love for you to join me in the fun so I can learn more about you! Just grab the Five Thing Friday button on the right sidebar and post a comment letting me know that you are playing along and I will be sure to read your Five Things!

1. I can't cook rice for the life of me! My mother-in-law came over last week to teach me how to make Arroz con Pollo, which is my husbands favorite dish of his moms. I thought I understood perfectly how she made it. Then I tried myself. The flavor was right but my rice was crunchy! I kept adding more water but nothing worked. This is probably my tenth attempt to make rice from scratch and everytime something goes wrong. At least I have finally mastered Rice A Roni!

2. I relaxed yesterday and watched a few old episodes of Dark Angel on the Sci Fi channel. I love waching the transgenics and Jessica Alba kick ass! I miss that show.

3. Over last weekend we have discovered a mystery in the garage. In between the pantry closet and another storage unit there is a ton of dirt. We need to move them apart to try to figure out what is causing it. Very weird, I am afraid it will be some creepy bugs causing the problem. Eeewww!

4. I finally got all, well most, of the laundry put away! I know this may seem small but I have had clean piles of clothes lying around for weeks. All that is left is the boys clothes. That is a never-ending battle.

5. Emilio can finally pull himself up to a stand! He has started scaling all the furniture and trying to stand as much as he possibly can. He will be walking in no time! How fast the time flies, it feels like yesterday that he was totally content to just lay in my arms.

Well thats it for this weeks Five Thing Friday! To learn more about me you can check out past Five Thing Fridays.

Pamper your Little Cutie with a $25 Cutie Pie Bows Gift Certificate!

5:45 PM Posted by Kimberly@PrettyPinkMomma

Not many people know this but I love to wear flip flops. Ever since I had my first child I have practically lived in them. I hate when winter comes around simply because I have to cover up my feet and actually wear socks and shoes. Some may think that its weird but I don't care. I mean, I stay home all week, who cares what is on my feet when I actually leave the house for five minutes. Besides, who am I trying to impress at the grocery store? Well I have just recently come across some of the cutest flip flops designed for little girls around! I couldn't help but think how adorable my niece would look sporting these this summer. Created by Cutie Pie Bows these flip flops are adorned with ribbon and bows, perfect for the cutest little toes! One of the best things about these flip flops, aside from their unique look, is that you can have them monogrammed! Below are some of my favorites from the Flip Flop collection at Cutie Pie Bows.

And of course with a name like Cutie Pie Bows you could most definitely expect to find all types of hair bows and clips to accessorize any little girl to the max. There are so many different styles and types that there is no possible way that I could talk about all of them, you will have to just see for yourself. However, I will mention my absolute favorites that I think are just awesome and you must know about!

The first thing that I simply must share is that Cutie Pie Bows offers monogrammed bows! How fun is that? You can have your cutie's name or initial monogrammed on her bow! I think that this is so cute and clever, a great personalized gift that any little girl is sure to love. There is also a huge selection of other images that are embroidered onto the bows as well. The monogrammed bows come in Toddler size and Large size.

The Toddler size bows are made with a 7/8 grosgrain ribbon and are approximately 3.5 inches in size. You have your choice of an alligator clip or a french clip. There are a ton of options to choose from. If for some reason you can't find what you are looking for there you can build your own monogrammed bow. Build your own monogram bow by selecting the ribbon color, knot color, monogram and font of your choice. Below are is my favorite monogrammed toddler bow.

The Large Monogrammed Bows are made with 1.5 inch grosgrain ribbon and are approximately 4.5 - 5 inches in size depending on the font style. These are also offered with your choice of alligator or french clip. Just like the Toddler Monogrammed Bows if you don't like any of the styles offered than you have the option to build your own bow. Below is my favorite Large Bow.

There are so many monogrammed options to choose from. In addition to getting an initials monogrammed you can also get a full name up to nine letters monogrammed. The bows that have the initials monogrammed are about 5 inches in length and on a grosgrain ribbon that is 1.5 inches in size. The full name monogrammed bows are about 5.5 - 6 inches in length and also use a 1.5 inch grosgrain ribbon. Both styles give you the freedom to choose your clip preference as the others described earlier. Below is a sample of each of these styles.

All of these beautiful bows shown above range in price from $6 to $10 each depending on size and style. They are so unique and simply adorable! If I had a little girl I would be stocking up! At least I now know what my neice is getting for her birthday.

Cutie Pie Bows has a ton of other unique gifts in addtion to things bow related. I actually found something on this site that a boy could enjoy. I fell in love with the Paint Splat Apron. Kids love being messy and "getting into" their art work. This perfect clothing protector is personalized with your childs name embroidered with colorful paint splats. Check this great apron out below.

The Paint Splat Apron is available in red, green, blue or denim. It retails for only $16. A steal in my opinion.

I could go on and on about all the fantastic things to check out at Cutie Pie Bows but to be honest I would much rather you go see for yourself. I am sure that you will enjoy browsing through the selection of bows just as much as I did. Don't forget about the Cool Stuff Section where you can find Hair Bow Holders, Flip Flops, Tote Bags, Craft and Cooking Aprons, Burp Cloths, Initial Applique Shirts and so much more!

Cutie Pie Bows is graciously offering one very lucky Pretty Pink Momma reader a $25 gift certificate and free shipping of their items!

Last week both of the boys were excited to end the school year with a bang. Benji had a party at his preschool that we attended. He was so excited to have us in his class. It was ridiculously cute!

Oscar, my oldest babe, is now officially a first grader! He had is very awesome kindergarten graduation. He looked so awesome in his little construction paper hat, singing his songs with his classmates. See for yourself!

The bows and clips that I have found at Pigtails and Ponytails are super fun and perfect for tons of different occassions. Below are a few of my favorites.

Buzz! Buzz! A pair of these little guys is only $4.50.

I just couldn't resist showing you how fantastic these were! This is the perfect pair for your little gal to celebrate with this summer and its only $3. If Emilio was a girl I would so be putting these in his hair to ring in his first Fourth of July.

I'm It!

12:40 PM Posted by Kimberly@PrettyPinkMomma

Susan from Secrets of a Suburban Soccer Mom tagged me in a really fun game of photo tag.

The deal is that I have to go to my first photo file and choose the 10th photo. Then post it! When I am finished I need to tag five more bloggers to be "it" next.

Here is mine:

This was the tenth photo that is stored on my camera, which is all that the computer I am currently using has access to. This is actually a picture of one of the products that I will be selling in my business. I have been pretty quiet on my blog about what exactly my business is but this is a sneak peak I guess! If you are wondering exactly what this is, it is a yellow onesie and a white washcloth all wrapped up in delicious looking satin chocolate ribbon. I call it a Chubby Cinnabun. I will be selling these as a single or in a bakery boxed set of four. This is just one of many of the sweet themed products that will be offered on my website.

Here are the five bloggers that I have chosen to tag:

1. Cascia at Healthy Moms
2. Swoozie at Mommy Kingdom
3. Helene at I'm Living Proof that God has a Sense of Humor
4. Jennifer at It's a Beauty Filled Life
5. Dee at Two of Kind Working on a Full House

Not Me Monday

12:35 AM Posted by Kimberly@PrettyPinkMomma

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

It is so exciting to see little Emilio start pulling himself up to a stand everywhere he can! He is just desperately trying to walk and run after his big brothers. It is so super cute to see his big grin when he pulls himself to a stand. I did not sigh a big sigh of relief that he acquired these new skills after last Tuesdays big fall, no Not Me!

I was running super late for Benji's speech therapy last Thursday and I did not give his therapist the lame excuse that the kids were cranky and were resisting any efforts to leave the house in a timely manner. Not Me! The office cooridinator did not ask me if I was aware of the scheduled appt time all huffy and upset. And I so did not answer her with assurance that I most certainly did know the time but with three kids things happen sometimes that are out of my control. Nope, Not Me!

We had a wonderful time at Oscar's Kindergarten Celebrations last Wednesday night! I was trying to keep my heart from melting at watching him sing his adorable songs with his class. I was not so totally flooded with emotions realizing that my first born baby was going to be in first grade, Not Me!

Music Monday! - I Heart iCarly

My boys think that they are tweens and love watching iCarly. Miranda Cosgrove is the star of this Nickelodeon show and I must admit that she has totally grown on me. I actually really like her new song that she just came out with. Enjoy teenie bopper lovers! Happy Music Monday!

Mommy Confessions - One of My Biggest Fears Came True

12:57 PM Posted by Kimberly@PrettyPinkMomma

The Mommy Confessions

Normally on Fridays I like to post my Five Thing Friday and also take part in Aloha Friday. I got a really late start and instead of doing those I decided to share something with all of you that happened to me this week. I changed it up a bit for to join in on The Mommy Confessions hosted by Victoria from Life Starring the Kids and Me. Here I go.

I definitely do not consider myself to be Mom of the Year or anything but I think I do all right. With three kids and only two hands I try to keep things running as smooth as possible without losing my mind. Before Emilio was born and up to this day I have been plagued with some irrational fears. Only to find out that one of them would come true.

What irrational fears you ask? I have had visions of just terrible things happening to Emilio. From getting stepped on and mashed by his brothers to accidentally dropping him. You name it I have probably thought about it. It seriously scared the poop out of me to take my eye off of him for one second. It was so bad that I even tried looking up online if it was some type of post partum depression. Now that he is eleven months old it has finally subsided for the most part now that he is a little big bigger and not as delicate as before. Until Tuesday that is. Now fears are back full force.

To set the scene a little bit, here is a little background on one of my ongoing arguments with my hubs. Having two older boys we have gotten accustomed to and like not having to have any gates up around the house anymore. For the last three or four months I have been on my hubs to put the gates back up. Emilio is getting more mobile every day and I do have three kids and only two eyes so sometimes things can slip past me. Gates are as much a safety net for me as they are for my kids. He on the other hand hates those gates and is definitely not looking forward to putting them up again. So, he has put in the back burner, to get done when he feels he has the time. That was until the events of Tuesday morning.

The boys had just left for school and I was getting Emilio ready for his gross motor therapy appointment. Yes, he receives therapy to learn how to roll over and to crawl instead of butt scooting wherever he goes. Unfortunately I blame myself for the reasons behind his unusual gross motor development. I never gave him enough tummy time or let him just play on the floor because I was terrified that someone would stomp on him. Irrational fears working at its best. I knew that the likelihood was probably small but I was scared none the less. Anyways, back to my horror story.

He was ready to go as was I except for one small detail, my hair. It was pretty much done I just needed to put in some hair spray to hold back all the baby hair tweekers so I looked somewhat normal. I keep all my hair stuff in the boys bathroom which is the main bathroom in the hallway upstairs. I knew Emilio would follow me there with his butt scooting action so placed him in the starting spot of my bedroom floor and ran to bathroom in the hall way to just plaster the tweekers quickly before he could get to me. That was my mistake. My horrible mistake. I saw him coming and put my handheld mirror in front of my face for a only a second when I heard a loud thud and cry all at the same time.

My sweet little Emilio had plumitted head first down the stairs! The stairs were literally two steps away from me and I ran to them only to watch in horror as one of my worst fears came true. He just tumbled down all TWELVE stairs as I cried in disbelief. He landed at the bottom on the landing crying and in shock. I grabbed him literally within ten seconds of this scary spill and calmed him down. Frantically I called 911 and told them what had happened. Then I had to call my hubs and tell him. That was a hard phonecall to make. "Hi honey, Emilio just fell down the stairs..."

Thankfully the Fire Dept came quickly and checked his vitals and decided that he was fine. I feel so lucky that he came out of that situation only a little shooken up. It could have been much worse. What I had been afraid of since his birth had finally come true. I feel horrible.

I am glad that he is fine but I am still dealing with my feelings of guilt. I shoud never have looked away, even for that brief second. I just pray that nothing like that ever happens again. On the bright side my hubs is finally commited to putting the gates back up. I'm just sorry that it was too little too late. Thankfully Emilio will never remember his mom's mistake.

Wordless Wednesday

12:00 AM Posted by Kimberly@PrettyPinkMomma

Growing up in the suburbs of Seattle I didn't realize that by moving just 75 miles south that our family would encounter some wildlife that we were not accustom to. Since moving here exactly three years ago, we have gotten used to the roaming deer, the crickets and the frogs. The frogs are really cool to see and the boys just love to look at them, me too. The only thing I don't think that I will ever get used to is the gardner snakes. They creep me out! Here is a picture of a cute little frog that we caught hanging out on our patio the other night.

JumpStart Review and Giveaway!

12:00 AM Posted by Kimberly@PrettyPinkMomma

With school coming to a close and Summer rapidly approaching, which is Thursday for us, I am really into trying to find some educational and fun activities to fill up the days with. I really want to keep my kids in the school spirit of things even throughout the Summer months. They are really into video games and playing the Wii so I was thrilled to learn about JumpStart.

JumpStart is an award winning adventure based 3-D virtual world that allows your kids to explore magical lands and problem solve their way to victory. JumpStart teaches math, reading and critical thinking skills all in a really fun and imaginative environment. The games are designed with 3-10 year olds in mind. Here are some examples of screen shots so you can get an idea of how 3-D it really looks.

Lost Island - River

Lost Island - Treetops 1

You can choose different worlds depending on your childs age. I got Oscar and Benji started by creating their Jumpee's. The Jumpee is similar to the Mii that you would create for the Wii. They both had a lot of fun picking out what their Jumpee was going to wear, or as Benji lovingly refers to as his "dude", then the learning began. It took a little bit of figuring out but soon Oscar and Benji were well on their way to navigating the JumpStart World. Here they are having a great time, fully engrossed in the game play. This picture is taken about an hour and a half into the game play. The first day the boys played for about four hours straight taking turns.

The directions are really easy to follow. Kids follow the missions and then complete the reading or the math games to build up their skills and collect coins. Oscar had a bit of a time because he really wanted to complete the games at a higher level than he was ready for. Once I got him more interested in more age appropriate skill games he did a great job on his own and didn't need my help much. The hardest part for him to realize is that there aren't any screens to read like the Wii games. Normally he asks what the screen says so he knows what to do. With JumpStart the characters talk and tell you what you need to do. He hasn't learned to listen to them...yet. Benji is very excited about the games that are at his level. Once he completes a task and computer screen pops up with a "good job!" he grins from ear to ear, completely proud of his accomplishments. Playing the JumpStart games have been a wonderful experience for all of us.

If parents need advice on any of the game play or they feel "stuck" in any way they can post a message or search for the answer to their question on the JumpStart Discussion Boards. On this forum you can find out a lot of great info and get feedback from the JumpStart Staff. I love forums. This is also a good way to find out about other parents opinions on the JumpStart line of products as well.

Not only is JumpStart a great place for the kids but it is also a great place for the parents as well! I checked out the Jumpstart Blog that in addition to info all about JumpStart it is full of great learning tricks and creative activites for your kids. One of my favorite posts was about an activity that involved creating a family tree for your kids to learn about their ancestry. There is a ton of useful information for parents to read through on the JumpStart Blog.

Both the kids and I really like the style of the JumpStart games. The 3-D action is just like playing their favorite Wii games, which is a major bonus! I get the satisfaction of knowing that they are leaning new skills and they get to have fun while they are doing it! There are so many things to learn and discover! This is definitely a win-win for everyone. I for one think that adding education in the mix of all the techonolgy that kids are exposed to these days is awesome. It is a lot easier to encourage the boys to play a learning game than to write in their Summer workbooks. This will be a welcome addition to our in home learning program during the Summer vacation.

I really encourage you to check out JumpStart for yourself. You have free limited access and if you want to upgrade to a JumpStart Membership that will provide unlimited access to over sixty essential skills and hundreds of customizable games it is only $7.99 per month. Go to Jumpstart.com to learn more about the games offered, parent discussion forum, blog and the awards, reviews and press coverage that this great learning program has received.

Not Me Monday!

12:00 AM Posted by Kimberly@PrettyPinkMomma

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

Here goes!

I am so not happy that my hubs vacation has come to an end. We only scratched the surface of the dreaded to-do list. Or I guess I should say honey-do list! All though I will miss being around him 24/7 I will not miss his annoyed looks when I tend to my blog. I do not feel bad about slacking off a little last week, nope not me!

One of the things that we did actually get done is a little furniture rearranging. I had my guest bedroom and my office all in one cramped space. Now the guest bedroom got a makeover and my office is now in the garage. I am not at all pleased, not me!

As part of this makeover my desktop got relocated to the family room so the boys could play on it. In addition to playing it is great for video chats with grandma and grandpa. I was so not embarrassed when Benji tells my dad that he was a "big fat guy". In true Benji fashion he said it over and over again, just to be sure that we all could figure out what he was saying. Lucky for me my Dad really didn't figure it out. He is sensitive about his weight, I am so not relieved that I dodged that uncomfortable bullet!

Benji struck again, and told the older gentleman that seated us at the Olive Garden. "Go away old man, go away. You get outta here old man! Right now!"
This was not embarrassing at all. I am not ashamed to admit that I sometimes feel blessed that Benji has speech problems in moments like these. Nope, Not me! Thankfully he didn't understand what Benji was saying at all, phew!

Aloha Friday!

12:01 AM Posted by Kimberly@PrettyPinkMomma

What embarrassing statements have your children made to strangers, or relatives for that matter, right in front of you?

Here's why I ask. Benji keeps embarrassing me in public. Not by doing anything really wrong, just stating the obvious. Here are a few examples:

1. An very large woman walked into the ladies lounge. Benji sees her and exclaims "Whoa that's a big one!"

2. Walking through Costco Benji jumped in front of an older gentleman and held out his hand in the stop sign hand gesture. Then he said, "You stop right there, OLD MAN, you stop!"

Thankfully for me, with his speech problems sometimes people have no idea what he's saying. Unfortunately, I am not sure if people did or did not know what he was saying.

So, here's my question:

What embarrassing statements have your children made to strangers, or even relatives, in front of you?

Aloha Fridays are brought to you by Kailani from An Island Life. Answer my question and put one of your own up on your blog. Link up and check out other blogs that participate at An Island Life.

Super Soaker 20th Anniversary Products Review and Video Clip

10:00 AM Posted by Kimberly@PrettyPinkMomma

Its hard to believe that the almighty iconic Super Soaker came out twenty years ago! I so remember how awesome and popular the Super soaker was when it first came out. It was revolutionary and put "squirt guns" to shame. You were only cool in a water gun fight if you had one of these babies. Oh how that marvelous water gun takes me on a trip down memory lane. I loved those neighborhood battles every summer. I also remember that people, and by people I mean unruly teens, would go on rampages doing Super Soaker drive by's and soaking unsuspecting passers by. Ah, the Super Soaker, such a classic weapon.

I was cool, I think, so of course I had one! I had to keep those boys that I babysat for in line some how right? In fact, I still have that exact same Super Soaker to this day chillin' in my deck box. Funny how after all these years I felt the need to keep it. My husband pulled it out last year to unleash the fury on the boys but apparently it had lost its luster. It was over fifteen years old so I think that was probably to be expected. But it was cool to know that my beloved Super Soaker was passed on to my kids to use, even if it wasn't as cool as it was when I used it. Clearly we needed some new ones for this summer. Thankfully Hasbro sent my boys the 20th Anniversary Edition of the original Super Soaker 50, the Super Soaker Bottle Shot and the Super Soaker Quick Blast.

The Super Soaker 50 has an approximate retail price of $14.99. This is the 20th Anniversary Edition of the original water blaster that completey changed how kids played with "squirt guns" forever. This gun holds up to 25 ounces of water and can blast up to 35 feet.

The Super Soaker Bottle Shot has an approximate retail price of $7.99. My boys and I loved playing with this one. It comes with a pretty dinky screw on bottle that holds the water but the best part is that it has a universal connection that is interchangeable with most water bottles up to two liters! This makes it totally customizable depending on the user which I think is awesome. I can put a regular 16 ounce water bottle on it for Benji or Oscar to use but if I, or my teenage brother-in-laws use it they can use the two liter bottle. I could try to let my kids use the larger bottles but the more water in the bottle the heavier the gun is so the smaller ones work best with little guys. I also really loved that the Super Soaker Bottle Shot has a pump action instead of a trigger. It made it so much easier for Benji to use and it shoots up to 20 feet away.

Little Oscar loves the Super Soaker Quick Blast! This gun has an approximate retail price of $14.99 and so well worth it! Lets just say that Quick Blast is a very appropriate name for this fun gun. With one slide it will unleash a deluge of water on anyone in its way. It has a removable 32 ounce refillable tank and can blast up to 30 feet away. This gun is definitely the favorite to use when my husband's teenage brothers come over on sunny days. We have all ready had a few really great water fights in the backyard using this and the other two guns.

I thought that I would share a video clip with you all of Oscar and Benji's first experience with these guns. Please try to ignore my total girly scream when I get soaked in the beginning of this video.

Needless to say we have so much fun whenever we play with the Super Soakers. These water guns are definitely going play a huge role in our family fun this Summer. If you would like to try these awesome water blasters out for yourself you can pick some up at most major toy retailers and at HasbroToyShop.com.

Wordless Wednesday

Emilio's First Beach Experience

Of course I wanted to get a picture of this fun first time, but Emilio was so enamored by his surroundings that it was really difficult to get him to look at the camera. Too many pictures looked just like this:

Finally after several attempts, a beautiful shot with Daddy.
