It'so not a secret that I love jewelry. I love my classic pieces but I also like to keep with the trends. For the last year the trend has been chunky jewelry, which I love. In my early twenties I always had a chunky bracelet on my wrist, it was a staple. I am glad to see that the trend is alive and kicking again because I have jewelry box full of chunky bracelets. I still love to play up my wrists!
Just recently I was offered the opportunity to review a fun interchangeable beaded watch from ChunkyBling.com I took a look at what they had to offer and I was really impressed with all of the different options to customize and create a fun, funky and chunky interchangeable watch. Prior to this review I only had Bulova watches that my husband gave to me as gifts, so it was exciting to have the opportunity to pick out something a bit more fun and not so conventional to spice things up.
The watch creation is a two step process. First you choose your favorite watch band and then you select your favorite watch face to compliment it. With 50 wrist bands and 65 different faces to choose from the combination choices are endless! It took me forever to finally decide which band and which face I was going to go with. I finally settled on the Glitz and Glamour Band complimented with the Square Silver Watch Face. I really like the combination of the black and silver together. I chose this band in particular because I felt that it could be used to dress up or dress down an outfit. Below is a picture of the watch that I received.
As you can see, it is pretty chunky! I like it! The band has has two silver plated lobster clasps on each end that attach to the ribbon bar watch face. The band itself is comprised of black jade beads, silver plated rounds, Czech glass, wood beads and acrylic beads strung on a durable and stretchy cord. I chose to have a snugger fit as opposed to a loose, bangle fit. I really like how it turned out and I wouldn't go back and change a thing. One thing that I think is really cool is that I can turn it around, like the picture below and just display it as a chunky bracelet instead. I think that this gives it a little more versatility than your average watch. I also really like that if I get bored or want to switch it up a bit I can order a new interchangeable watch face or band and create a totally new watch!
