I had the pleasure of reviewing one of these delectable cakes for myself. Free gourmet cake? No way was I going to turn that down!!! My mouth was salivating as I tried to select one of the Gourmet Gift Cakes for Mom, it took me forever to decide too. Finally I settled on the Coconut Cream Cake, it looked amazing and I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into it! All that yummy butter cream and toasted coconut - it looked awesome!

Luckily I didn't have to wait too long to find out for myself if that Coconut Cream Cake tasted as good as it looked. Bake Me a Wish! has overnight shipping and my cake was in my hot little hands before I knew it. Each cake is adorned with an imported Belgian Chocolate Mother plaque and includes a greeting card you can personalize online. Each cake comes packed extremely carefully and also comes in beautiful box complete with the gift card. On top of the cake box is an ice pack to keep the cake refrigerated during delivery. Below are the pictures I took as I unpacked the cake from the delivery box. You can see how the cake is carefully packaged to ensure freshness.

I couldn't believe that this gourmet cake came all the way from New York to me in Washington so quickly. I couldn't wait to dig in to it! First I had to eat the Belgian chocolate Thank You on the top. It was so good! Then came the cake, the first bite was like heaven! The cream part of the cake was sooooo yummy! It was rich and extremely delicious. Needless to say I devoured my piece in about two minutes. Then, I had another, cause I'm a pig like that! This cake definitely lived up to the pictures and description, I loved every bite.
