Wordless/Wordful Wednesday - Pretty Rainbow!

We were driving back to Oregon from Washington a few weeks ago and right near the border the rain was misty and the sun was shining bright so we saw a rainbow!  Then we even saw a double rainbow - but I wasn't smart enough to take a picture of it.  I tried my best with my cell phone to snap a pick while we were going 70 mph and these were the best I could get.

Really pretty and vibrant. Love rainbows and the way that it smells after it rains.

I love the line in "Firework" that says "After a hurricane comes a rainbow" - so true!

First time to your blog and I'm greeted with these beautiful rainbows. You just can't look at a rainbow and not smile. I guess it's the promise wrapped up in them.

I watched a program on a Science Channel and it explained how no two people will ever see a rainbow in the sky exactly the same as each other. It has to do with perspective, and how rarely are two people standing in the same spot with the same visual field and light reflecting the same way in all areas at the same time etc... Anyways it was pretty technical, but a rainbow in the sky will not be seen by people looking up at it the very same way by each.
