Purex Complete 3-in-1 Laundry Sheets Review

I was asked to give my opinion on the new Purex Complete 3-in-1 Laundry Sheets. After receiving the sample pack in the mail, and trying it out, I am thrilled to tell you about it. In case you have know idea what this new laundry product is all about, let me explain.

This is a revolutionary new way to do laundry. The Purex Complete 3-in-1 Laundry Sheet system is the simplest way to do laundry. Each sheet contains the active ingredients for cleaning, softening and static reduction. It has taken three laundry products and combined them into one simple and easy to use sheet.

I love the simple packaging that it comes in too. I keep my huge Costco sized laundry bottles up on a rack above the washing machine. When it is full it can be such a pain to get it down and hold it precariously as I get just the right amount of detergent in the tray. Not to mention I always, always get it on my hands. Detergent is so thick and nasty so I always have to wash my hands right after dispensing it in the tray. The Purex Complete 3-in-1 laundry sheets come in a small plastic refillable container. When you run out of sheets all you do is buy the refill package and fill it back up. In my opinion the only thing about the packaging that I would like to change is suction cups. My washing machine spins so fast that when I have a fuller load it vibrates like crazy. If I left the sheets on the machine they would move around. I could leave them on the rack but sometimes the vibrating makes the stuff on the rack fall off too. I am way too lazy to retrieve anything that falls behind the machine.

Using the laundry sheets is simple. You just put it in the machine with the load of laundry. If you have a really large load or extra soiled load you would put two sheets in. Wash the clothes like normal. During the wash the detergent will release from the sheet and clean the clothes. When the load is done simply transfer the clothes including the sheet to the dryer. The color stripe is heat activated by the dryer to soften the clothes and remove static.

I found that the part of the color stripe diminished during the wash cycle, but I wash my clothes using extra hot water. I do not feel that this changed the outcome of the clothes. I have to say that the clothes were still static free, soft and fresh smelling when they came out of the dryer.

I have to admit that I never use the liquid fabric softener. I have always wanted to try it but I am a set it and forget it type of gal and it is just one step I knew I could do without. I don't have the time or the patience to deal with putting in the fabric softener so I was thrilled that it was included in the laundry sheet. Because I never do purchase the liquid fabric softner that part is not really a savings issue for me. The fabric softner that I do use is included in the dryer sheets that I buy. So for me, it really only combines two products instead of three as far as the savings factor goes.

I do really like that you just throw it in the machine and your done. I hate having to measure out the liquid detergent so it is really nice that it is all ready done for me. The sheets are still a little tacky feeling like detergent is but you can avoid touching it by just grabbing it from the end with the color stripe. I do think that this a pretty simple and convenient product. Not to mention I don't have to worry about anyone sneaking up on me and slamming the tray shut so detergent flies everywhere!

I also think that this is a simplified system to teach your tweens and teens how to do their own laundry. I all ready have the boys take their clothes out of the washer and put them into the dryer. This is one of Benji's favorite chores! I started asking him to do that when I was pregnant with Emilio because the bending over to get everything out of the front loading machine was killing my back. I think that they will love to now participate in the washing of the clothes too.

Purex Complete 3-in-1 Laundry Sheets comes in three different fragrances. The one I tried, Spring Oasis, Tropical Escape and Pure and Clean. When I purchase the refill I will definitely go with the Pure and Clean. This is the hypoallergenic option, which is what I usually purchase for my family. I saw a starter pack for only $5.99 at my local grocery store. Also you can get a discount by using coupons offered at the Purex Complete 3-in-1 site.

Now, if they could just invent a dryer that folds all the clothes when its done drying them, my biggest laundry dilemma would be solved...
