Aller-Ease Giveaways Galore! Visit the Flip for Fall Circle and See What I Look Like!

That's right! I was so excited to be a part of the Flip for Fall Challenge that I decided to finally reveal myself. The catch is, you will have to visit the Flip for Fall circle to see my picture. Now you will finally know the face behind the blog, and see what I really look like. While your there you may as well submit your tips! Read further to see how you can win Aller-Ease product that will help you Flip for Fall in your house too.

A couple things we do in our house...

As I have mentioned in a previous post, Aller-Ease, the maker of allergen filtration bedding, has partnered up with TheMotherhood for their Flip for Fall Challenge. This campaign is all about sharing your tips for fighting indoor allergies as well as showing Aller-Ease how you prepare your home for the Fall and Winter seasons. Even if you don't realize it you probably do certain things like changing your bedding or your home decor to get ready for this change. For example, I know one thing that I always do is change from my light weight down comforter to my heavy one.

To help ease the suffering of indoor allergies at our house one of the things that we have done is to install a germicidal ultra violet light in our heating and cooling system. Ultraviolet technology is used to safely sanitize the air for the last 75 years. Scientists have been tapping into the power of UV for since 1903. The germicidal UV cleanser that I have installed shines 800 times brighter than the sun, and as an energy saving device the it uses less power than a night light. It effectively kills all DNA based microorganisms. This helps prevent the spread of bacteria, mold, funguses and viruses. All of these can trigger allergic reactions in people of all ages. Symptoms are itchy eyes, runny noses, headaches and tiredness, even asthma, hay fever and chronic bronchial infections. All of these can be the consequences of a dirty air duct system.

We had ours installed in February of this year and we have noticed a huge difference in our mornings. Prior to the cleaning of our ducts and the UV light, last Fall and Winter, we would all wake up so stuffy and just icky feeling. Everyday without fail, I felt so sick. The day would go on and I would feel better. Then once again in the morning I would feel all stuffed up again. This was happening to my husband and oldest son too. Now when we wake up we don't have those symptoms any more. It has improved our breathing 100%.

We also changed to an electrostatic filter for our furnace, just like the one in the picture to the right. This filter is amazing. We don't need to continually purchase new paper liners. We simply pull it out and rinse it clean once a month. This is something that we defintely do in our home to Flip for Fall. An electrostatic filter cleans the air by using static electricity to trap the attracted airborne particles that are held by the static charge. They are released when the filter is washed. It traps dust, pollen and airborne pollutants within the static fibers. I have really noticed a difference in the amount of dust that I have around the house. I still have dust, that's for sure, but it doesn't seem to add up as quickly as it did before. Dust, and dust mites, are a huge contributor to allergy problems.

I will posting a video soon sharing with you all how I Flip for Fall. I will also include in this post a whole bunch more of my tips. A huge thank you goes out to Aller-Ease for providing our home with 2 Deluxe standard pillows with zippered covers, 2 more Deluxe pillow covers and one King size mattress protector. I will definitely be showing these off in my Flip for Fall video, so stay tuned...

Hubby and I do un-spring cleaning! It's a similar process to spring cleaning, just in fall. We clean out all the residual dust, dander and pollen from summer and take time to put the summer toys, clothes and gear away for another year.

Best thing to do is to write down each 'prepare for allergy' tip on an index card, file it in a card box, and get them out each fall. Of course, you'll have other monthly chores to do, so keep that box out and never forget a monthly chore again!

one easy and simple tip is simply keep your windows closed!

The very first thing I do for fall is changed out all the filters in our home and clean the vents. So many people get sick at the start of the season and I think this may be the cause because when they turn on the heat is sending all kind of allergens into the air if the filter or the vents are dirty.
