Designs by Twilight Jewelery Giveaway

You know that I love me some awesome and unique jewelery! Not only do I love classic, contempory pieces but those that are fun, artful and show true creativity. After all that's what makes each piece so unique from the next, right? Its great to go with the trends, but it is also nice to stand out every once in awhile too. That is why I think that you are going to love my next PPM Bash Birthday Guest, Designs by Twilight.

Designs By Twilight creates some of the earthiest, organic, classic yet funky artful pieces of jewelery. Much of the inspiration behind the designs comes from nature. The most common materials that Designs by Twilight uses to create their jewelery with is glass, wire, semi precious stones, freshwater pearls, wood, shell, mother of pearl, and vintage beads. The creative force behind Designs by Twilight feels that the craft of the piece is far more important than a set look or style. She takes great pride in her work and makes a lot of the beads that are found in her pieces herself. She also prefers that the jewelery she makes echo the naturally symmetry of the body. Combining all of these techinques is what makes Designs by Twilight handmade jewelery so unique from other Etsy jewelery shops you may have seen.

Designs by Twilight carries a selection of earrings and necklaces, made in silver or copper wire. I am going to feature my favorite from each category so you can get a feel of what Designs by Twilight's work is all about.

Check out these great earrings! These, Jade Reef Earrings, earrings made with silver wire. Each earring features a tear drop shaped hoop of silver plated wire strung with matte silver Czech glass seed beads. Incorporated at the bottom of the drop are beautiful chips of purple coral. And at the bottom of each hoop are five pieces of "new jade". Which I learned that the stone called "new jade" is not actually jade, it is really serpentine, which is said to dispel fear and restore self-confidence. You learn something new everyday! These wonderful earrings hang 1 1/2" below the silver plated earring wire and can be yours for only $14.

I love the uniqueness of the copper wire earrings. There is a ton of silver wire jewelery out there but not as much copper. My favorite copper earrings that Designs by Twilight makes are the Triangle Earrings. These earrings are so cool! I love that in the description she references the "Triangle Man" song by They Might Be Giants - wow that brings me back! Love that band! Anyways, back to the earrings. Each earring features triangles made from stacks of alternating copper Czech Glass seed beads and copper filigree beads strung onto the wire. Adorning the top of each triangle is a clear glass bead on copper wire. Each earring hangs about two inches below the copper earring wire and are also only $14.

Designs by Twilight also creates necklaces. This Moonlight Necklace is reversable and has a square shell piece wrapped with wire and hangs from a jet glass bead. You can wear it showing the white pearly side of shell or the dark and shiny side. The sterling silver plated chain is about 16.5" long. Designs by Twilight also adds a length of chain to the back of each necklace it creates. This is a signature of some of the Designs by Twilight necklaces. The piece that hangs down the back of this necklace is a piece of sterling silver plated chain with a smaller pendant made of lavender Czech seed beads and a small black jet glass bead. The signature length is made to enhance the beauty of the back of the wearer's neck. This necklace is one of the more simplistic pieces crafted by Designs by Twilight and is available for only $15.

From the copper wire necklace category my favorite is the Green and Gold Necklace. It features a rectangular, "new jade" focal bead. The rest of the necklace is made from alternating gold glass oval beads, stacks of matte metallic Czech glass seed beads, and smaller chips of "new jade". The beads are all strung on copper wire. The necklace is finished with a copper colored "lobster claw" style clasp and measures at 20" in length. This necklace is available for $31.

There is also a category of Tree of Life necklaces that are pretty amazing. My favorite is the Copper Birch Choker Necklace. The wire is wrapped to look like a tree drawn with wire and beads inside of a metal frame. The czech glass seed beads in pearl, matte metallic rainbow, matte silver, and dark blue/grey and clear, all make the tree just stand out as well as the gorgeous copper filigree "apples". This beautiful one of a kind choker can be yours for $36.

One really nice touch that Designs by Twilight offers their customer is individually gift wrapping each piece of jewelery that they purchase. What a wonderful idea! This way even if you are buying a piece for yourself you still get the pleasure of opening up a gift! I love that!
