I Love This Cute Elephant Shape Sorter from Ebeanstock!

Its not a secret that my kids have developmental issues. I shared on more than one occasion that their sensory, speech, gross and fine motor issues have presented challenges in our household. Learning to work with them has been the key and part of that work is finding toys that aid in their developmental growth.

Ebeanstalk is a website dedicated to selecting great toys for 1 year olds and toys for 2 year olds. They have a team of moms and a team of child experts that help them pick out toys by age, so you can be sure your child gets toys that have been specifically matched to his or her age!

I love their concept of matching the toy to the developmental stage and the age of the child. They have a team of experts that you can ask questions to as well to help pick out the perfect toy for a child with any developmental struggle, regardless of age. Truly a wonderful site for parents of children with developmental delays.

Recently Ebeanstock sent me a Jumbo Shape Sorter created by infantino. It is so darling! It is the shape of an elephant - trunk to tail. The tummy spins around by turning the tail and has openings for five different shapes for sorting. The bright colors and easy to sort shapes make this toy so fun for any little person. Infact, its designed for 12 months plus but my nearly five year old son couldn't resist joining in on the fun. Below are the pictures of my little guy who is 20 months old and his big brother playing nicely together with the Jumbo Shape Sorter.

They both enjoyed playing with this for at least twenty minutes before the little one starting throwing the shapes at me. Throwing toys is his favorite pastime so I was pretty impressed that he waited that long before he started hucking the pieces at me. He wasn't much interested in trying to put the toys in the designated spots but loved to stuff them up the trunk instead. All though it was probably pretty difficult to try to sort while big brother was spinning the sorter all willy nilly. Anyhow, I think that this shape sorter is super cute and great toy for any child. Definite thumbs up in my book!

That looks cute. My little one is only 4 months old but the time passes so quickly- it won't be long before she starts sorting shapes.

This is one of the cutest shape sorters that I have seen. (Some are actually boring to children; a square or ball with too small of shapes for beginning shape sorter kids...I like how this company works with parents to pair their toys for children's developmental age)
