Aloha Friday - TruBlood

Aloha Fridays are brought to you by Kailani from An Island Life. Over there in Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So Kailani thought that on Fridays she would take it easy on posting, too. So, for Aloha Friday, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Answer my question and put one of your own up on your blog. Link up and check out other blogs that participate at An Island Life.

Are you a fan of TruBlood on HBO or have you read the Sookie Stackhouse vampire books by Charlaine Harris?

I haven't read the books but I love TruBlood on HBO. I have been patiently waiting for its new season to return. This Sunday the third season starts and the hubby and I are super excited. TruBlood is one of the few shows that we can watch together that we both love and aren't having to tolerate it for the sake of the other. The show is so good that I actually really want to start reading the books that its based off of, which is amazing seeing as I haven't read a book in about ten years if you can believe it!

We have Showtime instead of HBO, so I haven't been able to check out TruBlood. I've heard it's good, though! :)

I'm not a big vampire fan, so no to both for me as well :-)
I took out season 1 of TruBlood from the library before I started to read the Sookie Stackhouse books. I was not a fan of the show, but loved the first book. Reading something intense is different than watching it. Can not wait to start the second book soon.

We just got HBO again last night. :) Dh then watched the entire season of Entourage that we missed.

But, we saw the fist few episodes of True Blood last year- and then they were gone off of on demand and we didn't see any more.

I'm so excited that ALL of them are on there now. Going to watch them this weekend.

Wish I could watch them now, but I don't think the boys would appreciate me turning off Handy Manny...

I haven't read the books, but want to.

No to both. My husband loves both, but he hasn't recruited me into his side, yet anyway.

I read the books last Fall because of the show (which I am desperately, passionately in love with).

Honestly, they were fun, but pretty terrible. The only thing that's similar besides the characters' names and some of the plot is Eric's all-encompassing hotness. :-)
