Wordless/Wordful Wednesday - Seattle Aquarium, Otter Butts

When we went to the Seattle Aquarium on Memorial Day I was so excited because I love watching the otters play in the water. To my dismay, the only pictures I could get were of them preening themselves. It was GROSS! The little guys kept sticking their heads so far up their butts to clean them. I was laughing but I have to admit that I was kinda irritated that all of my pictures turned out like this:

I waited fifteen or twenty minutes to see if they would do anything else that I could get a reasonable picture of, but no. Why is it that my favorite sea animal likes to stick its head so far up its butt that you can't see it? Oh well! At least we had fun making fun of them with the other spectators that day. Apparently I am the crude one because I was couldn't help but point it out to everyone that I couldn't get a decent pic. Everyone laughed though because I must have said what they were thinking!

Maybe they were just trying to pretty themselves up since they knew they were getting pics taken that day. haha

That is way too funny! I never would have guessed it was an otter if you hadn't said so! :)

LOL, we could be photog twins! ha ha! Great butt shots though!
I love otters! They are so cute, but the photos you took do show a different side of them... =)
Zoo animals are interesting sometimes... Logan's first trip to the zoo was an experience for all of us. Apparently it was "mating season" for the huge turtles, and they were ALL up on each other! Funny to us, but uncomfortable to have my baby watching it! LOL!
