Aloha Friday - Fireworks

[alohafriday.jpg]

Aloha Fridays are brought to you by Kailani from An Island Life. Over there in Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So Kailani thought that on Fridays she would take it easy on posting, too. So, for Aloha Friday, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Answer my question and put one of your own up on your blog. Link up and check out other blogs that participate at An Island Life.

For Fourth of July do you celebrate by watching a fireworks display in your area, on TV, lighting off fireworks yourself or all three?

I love watching the fireworks display in person but my husband doesn't really care about it. On more than one occasion we have just been driving on the freeway when the display is going on, and he is just trying to get home ASAP. This year I think that I will try to convince him to stay and watch the local display with our friends and family because I think that the boys would really enjoy it. We don't light fireworks off ourselves because we usually spend the day with family and in Seattle fireworks are banned. Which is probably a good thing because even though I loved watching them light up in the streets when I was a kid there was more than one occasion where something went awry and people started ducking or running to avoid being hit by a rogue firework. Anyways, just curious, what do you do on the Fourth?

I love to watch the fireworks from Washington, D.C on PBS. I used to go see them when I lived there. No matter where I have been on the 4th I end up watching them. Happy 4th!

Our neighbors usually put on a big fireworks display. We will sit on our back porch and enjoy their show.

We will watch them on the boat..and then we'll do them ourselves at home!
Setting off fireworks in NY is illegal - so none of that here. Not sure about going to any, it will depend on whether the kids nap or not. Since the boys have been born we tend to watch them on television.
We go to local fireworks!

We leave the kids at the lake to enjoy them and come home and rescue the dog from all of them going off in the neighborhood.

Aloha Friday! I'm your newest follower :)

If there are any live ones nearby, we watch those. Or we might have a few little sparklers of our own.

Please stop by my blog and answer my question if you get a chance. And I'm currently hosting my first giveaway, so take a second to enter!

Personal fireworks are banned here so we either go into town or watch the ones in the next town over from our tree house.

On TV-I have pretty severe anxiety from loud noises so I avoid fireworks shows.
