I'm Finally Going to Stop Procrastinating and Start Eating Right - With a Little Help From Nutrisystem

I have been complaining about my weight for long enough. It's time to stop procrastinating and start making those much needed healthy changes. I have forever told myself that when the time is right for me I will do it. Yesterday one of my neighbors, that I don't know very well, asked me if I was expecting my fourth child. Uh, yeah. That was awkward when I told her that I wasn't. The time has come.

There is another huge reason that the time is now, luckily for me, I have been asked to join the Nutrisystem Blogger 15 Program. I remember when I applied for the spot I told myself that if I got accepted that I would take it as a sign that I need to get off my fat, gigantic butt and take advantage of everything that is offered to me. This is an awesome opportunity and I am thankful that I was chosen to participate. I know first hand that this program can work, I have seen it done. My dad used Nutrisystem about 20 years ago and successfully lost 80 lbs. My dad and I have similar personalities so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can do just as well on the plan as he did.

Do you ever notice how we as women can always find the time to help our family, our friends or our employers but we never take the time out to help ourselves? This feeling has been a major road block of mine for the last two years. My house doesn't seem clean enough, the boys need me too much, I need to be a better wife, I need to be a better blogger, etc..., the list goes on and on. I felt so tied by these obligations that I put the obligation to myself on the back burner. For too long now I have felt that it was selfish of me to make time for myself when there were so many other areas of my life that needed improvement. Even though the commitments haven't changed, I need to change. My way of thinking has to be reinvented. By taking on this challenge for myself, and ultimately my family, we will all reap the rewards.

Being a part of the Nutrisystem Blogger 15 Program requires that I post weekly about my experiences with the program as well as highlight some wonderful things about the Nutrisystem Program. When it comes to blogging contracts and commitments I always follow through, which is one reason that I took being accepted into this program as a sign. I will do what is asked of me because of my need to please others. Only this time the end results will please me as well. I know that I won't wimp out when I am feeling challenged because I have a purpose, Nutrisystem is counting on me to share my story. Your counting on me to share my story. I want my story to be one of success and inspiration. An honest account of my struggle to drop the weight once and for all.

It won't be easy, this I know. I have every intention of succeeding above and beyond my expectations. I hope that you will cheer me on each week and help me through my highs and lows. I received my first month's worth of food yesterday as well as all of the guides and meal planners. I will be starting the plan on Monday and will experience the food for the first time that morning. Each weekend I will update you on my progress as well as my thoughts about the food and how much exercise I was able to squeeze in that week. I finished reading through the all the materials last night and I am really excited about it. The menu plan looks really easy to follow and the food and grocery guide specifically state the portions for the servings that I am allowed. I can't wait to get started on my new life!

*Nutrisystem is providing me with the program free of charge in exchange for my time and commitment to blog about my experience with the Nutrisystem Program.*
