New Yoplait Greek Yogurt With 2X the Protein of Regular Yogurt - Review and Giveaway

I love to snack. If I could I would snack all day long. The problem is I usually prefer to snack on things that are unhealthy, salty and delicious.  It's also no secret that I am overweight so I have been on the lookout for healthy snacks to aid me in my weight loss journey.  Recently I was introduced to the newest Yoplait creation, Yoplait Greek Yogurt.

Even though I am not a huge fan of yogurt I like to try all the new ones that I can.  I have found that some I can tolerate and some are just not for me.  To be honest, the new Yoplait's Greek Yogurt wasn't for me.  It wasn't as thick as I expected it to be and the fruit was only in the flavor of the yogurt not actual fruit pieces that could be mixed in.  It may just be me because I am not a die hard yogurt fan so I would definitely recommend that if you love yogurt to try it for yourself and form your own opinion.

I did however find one great use for the plain flavor.  I love a great dip and I get bored with just dipping my carrots and celery in ranch dip.  So used the plain flavor as an ingredient in a healthier dip that I could substitute the plain old ranch with.  I love the cucumber dips so I made my own concoction using one serving of Yoplait Plain Greek Yogurt, half of a grated english cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt and pepper.  It was a tasty dip and it was high in protein and low in calories - just perfect for a figure friendly snack!
