Aloha Friday - The Flu - Eww!

12:00 AM Posted by Kimberly@PrettyPinkMomma

Aloha Fridays are brought to you by Kailani from An Island Life. Over there in Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So Kailani thought that on Fridays she would take it easy on posting, too. So, for Aloha Friday, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Answer my question and put one of your own up on your blog. Link up and check out other blogs that participate at An Island Life.

Do you get flu shots?

I have been down and out with the flu this week. Little Oscar had it last week and poor Benji caught it twice. Emilio woke up with the crud this morning. I never get flu shots but I get them for my kids. Apparently for this go round it doesn't seem like its making a difference if you have a flu shot or not. So far, the only one not affected by this bug is my husband. Hopefully I will be back up to my usual blogginess next week.

Gosh that sucks! Hope you feel better soon. I hate being sick when my kids are sick.

And we rarely get the flu shot. I know we should, but I always forget.

I use too, but everytime I got one I would get very sick! So, no more flu shots for me.

Hope you all are feeling better! We usually get flu shots, but we didn't this winter and it's the healthiest we all have been. go figure.

First - I hope you all feel better soon. We all had H1N1 here in October.

Yes, we get the flu shot here each year. The one year I didn't I had a horrible case of the flu that lasted a lot longer than when I did get them. My son and I have asthma and the little guy gets febrile seizures, so any protection is crucial for us.

My kids got the reg flu shot. My husband & I didn't get them. No one here has gotten the flu.

Some other NASTY bug that is going around this year hit my whole family in January. It was a 24hr vomit bug.

We did get flu shots this year. Both regular and H1N1, but only because I was pregnant. I don't think we'll get them again. I haven't decided.

Am here for an aloha! :-) For your question, I haven't been into flu shot but have my vitamins everyday especially winter time and summer. If I think I am about to have a flu, I drink a lot of water and eat fruits.

    My Aloha Friday thought

Have a fun Aloha Friday! ~hugs~

I never had a flu shot until 5 years ago ~ after recovering from treatments from cancer, my Drs. talked me into it (and the pneumonia shot also) due to the dangers of complications if I got any kind of flu - especially respiratory! My daughter is a Pediatric ER nurse and just got her FIRST flu shot 6 months ago!
