Aloha Friday - Paint Color

Aloha Fridays are brought to you by Kailani from An Island Life. Over there in Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So Kailani thought that on Fridays she would take it easy on posting, too. So, for Aloha Friday, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Answer my question and put one of your own up on your blog. Link up and check out other blogs that participate at An Island Life.

What color is your house painted? Do you like it or would you change it?

We will be painting our house in the next couple of months and we are thinking about changing the color. The problem is that I can't quite figure out what color to paint it. Right now it is yellow, with white trim and brown/maroonish shingles. I want to keep the white trim and I'm pretty sure I like the shingles the way that they are. No clue about the paint other than no blue. It seems like so many neighbors of mine painted their house blue. Any advice?

We have only painted the inside, and I still want to do it over! It's so much work!!

I like the white trim! So hard to decide!

Mine is blue and I agree with you on no blue! When we get the chance we will definitely paint our house! Good luck on your decision!

Ours is tan stucco. I saw one the other day that was green stucco & one that was turquoise stucco. Whatever you do, DON'T do either of those! They were baaaaddd!

we have earth tones in our house.. I've always liked that and i would never change it.. maybe just the living room hue a little:) but keep the earthy feeling all around:)
Aloha!
Ugh...same issue here. Well, kinda. We NEED to paint our house soon, but not sure when funds will allow. I love a dark beige (I'm so boring) with a light trim. I dunno. I think I want a black door though.

I'm not much help, huh?

My house is a pale yellow color and I absolutely love it!
Ours is sided mint green on top & white on bottom. It was done by the previous owners. I would have preferred our house to be one color. Oh well. We are planning on putting up black shutters someday (our roof is black & green). We removed the awnings the previous owner had put up.
I forget what the color on most of the walls is called. It is a few shades up from white - a slight tan color. I wish we had done darker - would have stayed cleaner and more fresh. Was afraid to do darker in a small house/space, but think it would have worked. Our bedrooms are all colors. Good luck!

Mine is white with black shutters and I love it that color!! I don't ever plan to change it - it goes with whatever I want to put outside!

Now the inside is more colors than I have room to name:)

Our house is a tan/light brown. I like it. Im not one who really cares what color my house is as long as its a nice neutral color and not some bright color.

Outside is brick and vinyl so no painting there, however inside is this soft yellow and well I don't like it. Nor do I really mind it. but that's because I want to paint and dh wont because he says it's too much mess and hard work.

I want my kitchen and bedroom red. Bathrooms turquoise blue and living room seagreen etc. Yes I have it all planned out. So since he wont paint with me and I don't have any girlfriends to help me.

I'll buy pretty curtains when we have the extra money to do so. I love bold , warm , beautiful colors.

My house is cream and terracota. And yes, I'm planning to paint it during this year because it's 3.5 years that we have the same color.

Happy Friday.

If colours were people the yellow would be the happy gang – orange, its close neighbour in the colour spectrum, would be the go-lucky crew. If you need something positive in your life, these are the colours that you should look to use for the positive energy and a more invigorated and energy-filled approach to life
Good luck
