Aloha Friday - Spaghetti Sauce

When you make Spaghetti, what is your favorite sauce to use? Or do you make yours from scratch?

My favorite sauce to use is Prego, but lately I have been buying the Classico Tomato Basil. Overall, I think that I like Prego better. Its kind of a sore subject with me because the hubby loved my spaghetti until one day he saw me put certain spices in it that he didn't like. After that he has always disliked my spaghetti - even when I omit the extra spices. It totally bugs me because he will eat anyone else's spaghetti and think its totally great. If I make it, no matter what I use, he thinks its tainted. So since I had spaghetti the other night it got me thinking, what spaghetti sauce do you like?

    I usually just use Prego and then add my own ground hamburger, spices and vegetables into it. Some people say they've added mayo or peanut butter!

    If I have time it's from scratch, but when I don't shhhhhhhh I like Prego too! Aughhhhh my Gramma would roll-over in her grave!

    TechyDad usually makes ours from scratch. We like it better. When in a rush we use Barilla.

    If I have time, definitely from scratch - hubby likes that best. But more often than not it's Prego - though I also love the Classico Tomato Basil. :)

    I've done it both ways. I usually compromise with a 'jazzed up' jar sauce.

    It's funny. Have you watched Everybody loves Raymond? I think if it was Marie, she'd make pasta everynight until the hubs give in. lol. Just funny is all.

    I love using Prego too. Red or white sauce. Mixed it up alot.

    Ragu used to be my fave but lately I've been using Prego. I add a bit of fennel seeds and dried basil leaves to enhance the flavor more.

    I make my spaghetti sauce sweet and spicy! That is how my family likes it! Also, I add some corned beef! It is so delicious.
