Have you ever won anything from a radio station?


I am one of those that has been lucky enough to win from a radio station a total of 5 times in my life. When I was in elementary and middle school I won $100 twice and I also won tickets to go see Luther Vandross in concert, and Sinbad opened for Luther Vandross. It was pretty fun for me because I was only 12 and I had to go with my grandma. She enjoyed the music but thought that Sinbad was horrible. I think I was just ecstatic that I won something - even if it included Sinbad.

When I was 20 or 21, something like that I can't remember, I won tickets to a concert that had several bands playing. It was one put on by the station. I wish I could remember who I saw but I honestly have no idea. I just remember that it wasn't anyone that I was really into and I am pretty sure that Oscar and I were some of the oldest people there. I think the stars of the concert were loved by tweens so we were a little out of the loop.

Then, just the other day I won a $50 gift card to a high end sushi restaurant and get this - tickets to go see Cindi Lauper next week at the Woodland Park Zoo! I love Cindi Lauper and all but I wouldn't pay to see her perform or anything. I am taking my best friend with me because I need someone to go people watching with. Plus if its really lame we can hang out and go do something else so the night wouldn't be a total waste.

So, I guess you could say that I am a pretty lucky gal when it comes to these things. Too bad I can't get on game shows. Now that would be something!!!
