Wordless/Wordful Wednesday - Redecorating I Spy Book Style!

12:00 AM Posted by Kimberly@PrettyPinkMomma

Emilio is going through this phase where he lines up toys in different patterns and arrangements all over the floor.  Whether its his bedroom floor, the family room floor or most recently my bedroom floor, he just can't help himself.  It's like a compulsion that he must fulfill.

The other night I was doing some blogging and I noticed that he was running back and forth between my room and his room.  He was being quiet so I wasn't too concerned about what he doing seeing as I was trying to concentrate on writing a post.  When he finished his masterpiece I looked down and saw what he had accomplished.

The floor next to my bed looked like a picture out of an I Spy book

When I asked him how I was supposed to walk through he informed me by saying, "On your tip toes mommy!  Like this!", then he demonstrated for me.

After I explained that it was a great idea but wouldn't be so easy for mommy to navigate in the dark he agreed to take the toys back to his room.  One by one they disappeared until my floor was all clean again!

It's really rather organized for being so messy! (and we have that huge Patrick, too - I got it for xmas one year and had to fly back on a plane with it!)

It's amazing how kids can have these compulsions so young, right? My daughter also likes to line things up. I have a feeling they will both be very organized and analytical. ;-)
