Enter to Win Your Very Own My Mommy's Necklace Just in Time for Valentine's Day!

2:52 PM Posted by Kimberly@PrettyPinkMomma

I personally never leave the house without a necklace on. I just think that necklaces seem to complete an outfit. Whether they are simple, large, small or flashy they simply say something about your personality and they can dress up your clothes without you dressing up. The only drawback to wearing a great necklace is the thought of my children choking me out with it and in the process breaking the clasp or the chain. My five year old and my three year old both still grab any necklace I put on if they get near my neck. Now my six month old is starting to get in on the action!

I love my necklaces, I have tons, so I was so happy when I found My Mommy's Necklace. My Mommy's Necklace's are made of a unique, pliable material called Mommy Cord. Available in silver and black, Mommy Cord allows the necklace to stretch without breaking. In fact it is so stretchy you can pull it right over your head eliminating the need for a clasp. Now you can look trendy and chic without any worry, allowing your little ones to tug until their heart is content.

There are so many beautiful necklaces to choose from you will have a hard time deciding which one is your favorite. I have narrowed my choices down to two. The first is the Brown Crystal floating drop pendant, shown above, from the What's Hot collection. Available for only $47, it is so beautiful and elegant yet you could totally get away with wearing it with a nice top and jeans. One of my other many favs is the two tone oval amethyst pendant, shown on the right, from the Zoephia collection. It sells for $27 and is simple yet sophisticated. With eight different collections to choose from you are sure to find something for every mom. One of the eight collections is specifically made for those daddies that like to sport a stylish necklace or dogtag which is great that these mom creators didn't forget about the hip and cool daddies out there.
My Mommy's Necklace is giving one of their necklaces valued under $50 away to one lucky Pretty Pink Momma reader. Follow the instructions below and one winner drawn at random will be sent one necklace of their choosing valued under $50.
To be entered in the giveaway you must complete the 2 following tasks:

If one of the two I mentioned in the post is what you would actually want in your comment be sure to list what your second pick would be.
  • You must follow Pretty Pink Momma either through blogger or some other form, list in your comment how you are following.
  • Get an extra entry by sharing this giveaway on another blog. Just add another comment with the blog that the giveaway has been shared on.

That's it! Complete those two tasks and you will be entered to win one of these fabulous necklaces! The giveaway is open until Feb 8th, one winner will be drawn at random using Truly Random Number Generator on Feb 9th.

Find the Most Truly Unique Hand Crafted Gifts for Children at Mahar Dry Goods

1:20 PM Posted by Kimberly@PrettyPinkMomma

Mahar Dry Goods is one of the greatest places to shop for creatively unique vintage and artisian crafted toys, clothes, furniture and decor for children. With more than three dozen artists and designers creating handmade goods there is something sure to please everyone. All products that Mahar Dry Goods offers are individually crafted so you can be sure that whatever you purchase it will be exclusively made for the child it is intended for because none of the items offered are mass produced.

There are so many wonderful items to choose from I have had a hard time picking just a few as my favorites. The first item I fell in love with, Little Hero Capes, is actually not offered currently due to high demand but will start production up again in the Spring. Each Little Hero Cape is made with satin, has a snap enclosure, a super cool flip collar and you can choose from one of six designs to adorn the back of the cape for your super boy or girl. There are great color options available as well. Once your cape is ordered it is then hand crafted by Super Mom Designer, Allison Faunce, who came up with this ingenious idea for her own child. An added bonus is that 10% of each cape sale is now donated directly to the amazing Discovery Arts Program. This is a program that "brings music, art, dance and drama to children with cancer, serious blood disorders and life threatening illness while they are in the hospital receiving treatment." I seriously am gonna get on ordering one of these, make that two of these, in the Spring, I know my boys will just love, love, love this idea!

Another favorite of mine are the Nursery Rhyme Onesies created by My Perennial. Pictured here is the Hickory Dickory Dock onesie, which has been individually silk screened on American Apparel onesies. This onesie is on sale for only $15 right now.

Last but certainly not least are these adorable Mary Jane booties made to order by Heather's Treasure Box. These 0-6 months booties are crocheted using cozy acrylic yarn specifically with your little one in mind. These are currently on sale right now for only $24 and would make a perfect shower gift. If Mary Janes aren't your thing there are ten other styles to choose from including: cowgirl/boy boots, blue or lavendar high tops, ice skates or another personal favorite - socks with sandals!

Please go and check out Mahar Dry Goods if you are at all inspired by creative designs and enjoy one of a kind creations. Mahar Dry Goods has graciously given all Pretty Pink Momma readers a 15% discount off of your next purchase which is valid until 2/28/09. Just use coupon code PINKMOMMA at checkout.

Carry Your Baby in Style Without Breaking Your Bank or Your Back With La Stella Blu

10:59 AM Posted by Kimberly@PrettyPinkMomma

All though I completely love cuddling with my little guy and carrying him with me everywhere I go, he weighs a ton and it makes my arms feel like they are about to fall off, not to mention the lower back pain. The bigger he gets he seems to be wanting me more and more. All day I feel like it is a balancing act to carry him around, keep an eye out for my other munchkins underfoot, all while maneuvering the mine field of toys strewn about my familyroom and kitchen. I do have a Baby Bjorn that I have had since my first guy was a wee one but the bigger the kiddos get the more cumbersome it feels. I always saw different carriers and wraps but I didn't really know how they worked and if it would be good option for me. Alas I have discovered La Stella Blu. La Stella Blu carries simply the best options for selecting and purchasing a baby carrier. There are several different styles to choose from and all of them use high quality, beautiful fabrics. I for one want to find a way to carry my baby without looking like an 80's throwback. All the styles are chic and elegant, sure to please any savvy mom with style. These carriers can carry babies from newborn to toddler, a great investment for the longevity of the product. I have narrowed my choices to my two favorites that I have featured above: Moby Wrap and a Reversable Hotsling. I feel that both of these slings would solve my dilemma and do it in style. They are very reasonably priced the Moby Wrap in Moss at $39.95 and the Reversable Hotsling at $54. Did I mention that both of these carriers ship for free! I love both of these options so much that I am having a difficult time deciding which one to get. I have to admit that I was definitely unsure about how I felt about the whole wrap idea until I read the easy to read and understand instructions for use that are provided on the info page. After going through the tutorials I am confident that I won't have any problems using either one of these carriers to hold my big guy securely and comfortably. There is also a tab on the La Stella Blu site called Baby Wearing Basics which I found extremely helpful. Here I was able to learn everything that I needed to know about different types of carriers, babywearing benefits and the wearing instructions for each of the carriers that La Stella Blu offers. I think that this is the most well thought out, informative and overall satisfaction guaranteed baby carrier site available. If you are looking to purchase a baby carrier please check out La Stella Blu and I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

Go Green With One of the Best Nursing Pillows

2:39 PM Posted by Kimberly@PrettyPinkMomma

I came upon this website quite by accident one day. It is a store called the Blessed Nest. The Blessed Nest sells eco friendly nursing pillows. My favorite, is the Nesting Pillow. As a nursing mom myself I know how hard it is to find a comfortable, functional and great looking pillow. It is hand crafted made with 100% organic fabrics, filled with organic, pesticide-free buckwheat hulls from a US farm and made right here in the US. Blessed Nest has taken it one step further and they even ship their purchased products to their buyers using recyclable and compostable packaging. The buckwheat hulls are shaped like pyramids which interlock like a bean bag for maximum support and comfort. The Nesting Pillow is about 30” wide, 16” deep and 5” high and quarter moon-shaped. It is made of organic cotton canvas, with a removable, washable slipcover made of organic cotton French Terry and cotton print fabrics. My favorite is the Sonoma pattern featured above. Extra slipcovers are also available. They have some really great designs for these pillows that are ultra chic and very classic. If you are looking for a fanastic pillow this is the one for you! One of these awesome pillows will run you $87. Donna from the Blessed Nest is offering a 10% discount to all of my readers just use "tweet" at checkout. Blessed Nest also offers a Perch Store on their blog which has an option to buy limited edition, limited quantity products.

The Original Seatbelt Bag - These are so awesome and they have a diaper bag too!

7:33 PM Posted by Kimberly@PrettyPinkMomma

Thanks to my BFF I have been introduced to The Original Seatbelt Bag. These are the coolest line of bags! And yes, they are completely made of seatbelts! I know that the concept sounds weird but trust me, I checked one out and they are the new mom must have. These bags are so durable, easy to clean and surprisingly soft. The Diaper Bag below is listed for $204 but is worth the splurge. Not to mention that if you want to you can have the diaper bag cleaned for you for only $20. All of the Harvey bags have a lifetime warranty. If for any reason there is ever a manufacturer defect they will fix it for free, if the repair is not under warranty it will only cost you $20. Now thats something, a bag with a warranty! This diaper bag comes fully lined, with a zip enclosure, two interior zip pockets, four pouch pockets, two pen pockets, a cell phone pocket, key chain hook, custom ID holder, four metal feet ( helps keep the bottom of your bag yuck free) and every bag comes with Harveys signature Baby Pack which includes a changing pad and nylon carry bag. One major plus to this bag is that even though it is stylish for a mom it is still made of seatbelts so it is really cool for a dad too. I know from personal experience, one time I bought a girly diaper bag and my hubby refused to take it anywhere. You can also purchase the matching wallet for $78. Also available are laptop bags, backpacks, messenger bags and even carry on luggage. There are just so many different styles, shapes, colors and sizes that there really is something for every man, woman and child in this seat belt collection.

momAgenda-The Coolest Day Planners for Moms

4:43 PM Posted by Kimberly@PrettyPinkMomma

I love my All in One Folio from momAgenda! It organizes everything for me. I keep things for my kids, my blog and my business all in one place. It is has been so great for keeping things straight between juggling all three jobs that monopolize my life. The All in One is a calendar, folio, notepad and pen all in one! The monthly calendar has spaces for mom and up to four kids plus room to write quick notes. The folio section has 48 pages with 24 interchangeable tabs made up of heavy duty clear plastic page protectors that you can store class lists, menu plans, schedules and more! I think that one of the coolest features is that you can customize your folio to fit your family's needs by printing out downloadable forms from their site to put into your folio. Some examples are: Important Numbers, Family Medical Info, Websites and Passwords, Birthdays and Anniversaries and much more. You can also download previews to print out and see if you like the format. Not only is it pretty but for only $5 more you can have it personalized. Which is what I decided to do.
My other favorite thing that I had to talk about that they offer is a momAgenda Chore Pad for your children. I think that it is such great idea! I have tried the white board method and it just never sticks. This chart is easy to read and covers one week for up to five kids (or 4 kids and a hubby- lol), and has 50 sheets all for $16.95. You can find these great planners in every state, but if you are like me and you don't like to drive very far just to go buy a planner you can order online directly from momAgenda.

momAgenda carries several options for busy women on the go.  The planner aren't designed just for moms anymore!  Now everyone from brides to businesswomen can have their life organized in one of their many stylish, functional and chic day planners.
