The Purse Hanger - a germaphobe's best friend! Review and Giveaway

If you have ever read any of my past posts it may be clear to you now that I am a self proclaimed germaphobe. Germs are everywhere. Being the mother of three boys - I know it well. I do the best I can to sanitize all that they or I come in contact with, but even that is only a temporary solution to the war against germs.

There is one item that I own in particular that if I had a dollar for every time I thought about the germ nastiness it carries I would probably be a millionaire. Well, maybe not that much but you get the point. This item I use everyday and I take with me religiously wherever I go. It rarely ever gets washed because its pretty delicate and quite frankly that would mean that I would have to go without it for an entire day or two while it dries. You guessed it, my purse.

There are so many studies out there that prove that there can be over 200 different strains of bacteria on the bottom of the typical ladies purse. That includes fecal bacteria and even bacteria that can cause skin infenctions. Ewwww! Imagine what's on the bottom of diaper bags! If all of that bacteria is a potential for spreading illness imagine what happens if you decide to set your purse down on your kitchen counter or table, where you eat! I never set my purse on the same table that I would eat a meal off of. That is just asking for bacteria central to have access to my family's food. So, what's a gal to do? Sometimes we have no choice other than to put our purse or diaper bag on the floor, its our only option. That's what I thought - until I discovered the Purse Hanger.

Purse Hangers USA offers a large variety of purse hangers for those of us who would like to keep our purses off the floor but still within grasp. Purse Hangers USA offers two styles of purse hangers; Purse Hooks and Foldable Purse Hangers. Both are small and easy enough to fit in any purse but the Foldable Purse Hangers are probably easier to fit into a small purse pocket or even your pants pocket. As an added bonus most of the Foldable Purse Hangers double as a compact mirror. The Purse Hook is not foldable but it does come with a complimentary black velvet bag, which the Foldable Purse Hanger does not. It comes in a cute little gift box. I have to say, I love my purse hangers! They are this germaphobe's best friend! I use mine all the time, at restaurants, bathrooms, work and even at home sometimes. Each purse hanger is sturdy and can hold up to at least ten pounds - if not more. The main part of the hanger that rests on the table has a rubber backing which when combined with the counter balance of the purse resting on the hook below provides a secure and stable hook for your purse to hang from. I actually use both the Purse Hook and the Foldable Purse Hanger together on a regular basis. I find that one can hold my purse and the other can hold either my diaper bag or umbrella. Purse Hangers don't have to be used just for purses! Anything that you carry that has a strap to hang from you can hang it from the Purse Hanger.

I use mine at work regularly. All the ladies I work with think that the Purse Hanger is a wonderful invention and they all wanted to know where they could get one. One of the managers I work with told me that his wife got one for Christmas and she adores hers. The Purse Hanger would make a great Valentine's Day or Mother's Day gift for any woman. It is unique and thoughtful.

If I had to choose which one, the hook or the foldable, was my favorite I wouldn't be able to choose. I honestly love them both for different reasons. The Purse Hook is not as compact but I love the velvet bag it came in. It is longer to store but I have a huge purse so size doesn't matter to me. I also prefer the designs offered for the hook versus the hanger. The Foldable Purse Hanger is much more compact and it has that cool little mirror too. You could totally open up the mirror while dining and nonchalantly check to make sure that you don't have anything in your teeth or you could even spy on the table behind you!

Below are pictures I took when I went out to eat and put the Purse Hangers to good use. I swapped them out so that you could see a picture of each of hanger doing the job.





The only downside to the purse hangers is that it would not be a viable option if you have a purse with extraordinarily long straps because it would hit the floor if hung from an average height table. My purse has average length straps and it manages to hover just a couple of inches from the floor. If your purse has really long straps that you could not easily adjust to use the Purse Hanger I would not recommend getting it.
